The Ashvale clay pantile we think is the only hand-crafted pantile available on the market today. It still involves hand finishing and is not entirely manufactured on a machine.

The Ashvale clay pantile offers individuality in appearance created by hand finishing whilst retaining the economic and quality advantages associated with machine made pantiles, essential for today’s market and the UK climate.

Its timeless nature and lasting quality mean the Ashvale clay pantiles are an ideal solution for new build, renovation or restoration projects and our variety of carefully selected blends makes it the perfect choice.

Available in three colours Restoration, natural Red and Black Glazed.

Expert advice

The Ashvale and Holkham Barn clay pantiles can both be used on roofs pitched to 30˚ assuming they are fixed in accordance with the British Standard Code of Practice for Slating & Tiling BS 5534: 2014.

However, if your roof pitch is lower than 30˚, please contact us with details of your requirements and we can offer a clay pantile solution down to a pitch as low as 17.5˚ from our French Collection.

Both tiles are suitable for use in any part of the country, but indigenously pantiles are more commonly found in East Anglia and up the East coast of England.
